About
I know what it’s like to succeed... but how do you deal with the side effect of your brain constantly being switched on?
Hello, my name is Faith and I am a fully qualified British Wheel of Yoga teacher... how did I get to this point you ask? Well buckle up...
After university, I began working as a 3D modeller. It suited me... but I was encouraged to move into electrical engineering - more prestige, more respect, more money.
On paper, it made sense but in reality, it was overwhelming.
I didn’t have the training I needed.
The responsibility felt heavy and the pressure to prove myself was constant.
I coped the way many capable women do.
I pushed through.
I became more vigilant, more responsible, more “on”.
Not burnt out.
Not falling apart.
Just permanently braced.
Three years later, I made a change.
I returned to my previous role for my own sanity, and something surprised me...
Even when the job felt manageable again, my body didn’t know how to switch off.
My shoulders stayed tight.
My jaw stayed set.
Evenings didn’t feel finished.
That’s when it became clear. The job wasn’t the only thing keeping me tense. My system had learned to stay alert.
